MCH Welcomes New Gynecologist, Dr. Mike Green

Lake Arrowhead, April 27, 2022 – If you had asked Rim of the World High School graduating senior Michael Green, what his plans for the future were, he would have told you he wanted to become a doctor and practice medicine in Lake Arrowhead. Well, those plans have now become a reality. Please welcome Dr. Green as he begins seeing patients at Mountains Community Hospital!

After graduating from Rim of the World High School, Dr. Green did his undergraduate work at UC Berkeley and then received his Master’s degree in chemistry from California State University, Northridge. He then received his Doctor of Medicine (MD) at St. Louis University. He completed a family medicine residency at the Ventura County Medical Center and a second residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN) at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Green was Chief of OB-GYN at the Centers for Family Health in Ventura for 17 years. He is currently the OB Hospitalist Group Site Director at Northridge Medical Center. He also serves as the Chief Medical Officer of Winona, a national telehealth platform providing menopause treatment. Dr. Green lives full-time in Lake Arrowhead with his wife of 34 years.

Dr. Green will be providing a wide range of gynecological services, including implantable contraceptives, follow-up from abnormal Pap test results, and menopause consultations. To start, Dr. Green will be working one to two Wednesday afternoons a month in the Lake Arrowhead Rural Health Clinic. The Rural Health Clinic accepts Medi-Cal, Medicare, IEHP, and Blue Shield PPO.
